This is the third quilt I made using AnneMarie Chany's Box Step pattern.  I really like the white sashing strips.  This is a baby quilt and doll quilt for my friend Sherry's first granddaughter.  The parents chose gray, white, coral and turquoise as their colors.  They have painted one wall of the nursery gray with white polka dots.  I think this quilt will go very well with the nursery theme.

We are giving Grandson Henry his own Curious George doll for his first birthday.  Henry and Arlo's Curious George dolls are modeling the new appliqued T shirts I made for the boys.

This is a lap sized baby quilt.  The pattern is by Anne Marie Chaney and is called Box Step.
I made this quilt for my friend Sherry's first grandson due in December.  The mommy wanted a quilt with mint green, teal green and clay red.  Sherry picked out the fabrics.  With the left over scraps I made a doll quilt.  The doll quilt measures 18" x 21".  I think the colors are beautiful.

Lap sized scrappy quilt finished October 15, 2014

Our spunky Aunt Ellen from WA DC, gave me some fat quarters to make a quilt and  said she loved the yellow green color of spring time leaves........this was my challenge.  So fun to make this happy quilt.  Hope you love it, Ellen!!

I made this baby quilt for Jessi's high school friend, Tara.  Maureen Louise was born in November in Massachusetts.  Jessi chose the fabric.  Tara said the purples matched the nursery well.  I quilted a bunny outline in each light purple square set on point.  I made a matching doll quilt.......very fun to make.

Taking a small break from quilting, I made these dresses for my granddaughters.  The pattern was called Giggles from Izzy and Ivy.  Etta loves pink and sparkly so I was very happy to find the silver sparkly dragonfly fabric.  The other two dresses were made from fabric that Grammy liked.

Applique T shirts for my grandsons.  Arlo loves trucks but he wants trains for the next Applique T-shirts.

Jessi gave each faculty member at her school at 5 x 5 square and pieces of felt.  The baby quilt is a gift for a teacher at their school.  I put the squares in a square and pieced them on point.  Setting triangles and putting the quilt together in diagonal rows was a challenge.   Finished this quilt on April 3, 2014.

I'm so glad that I photographed my quilts.  Most of them have been given to friends and family as gifts.

I learned how to quilt in 2000 in Olympia, WA.  Holly Bullock's Beginning Quilting.
Quilting has been an obsession ever since.

My favorite quilting projects are hand applique with machine quilting.  My favorite patterns come from Fons and Porter magazine.

Making quilts from scraps is also a favorite.  I choose a square pattern from QuiltBlocksGalore.com and then use my scrap bags.

Contrary to some beliefs.........I do not love quilting more than my husband.  Dennis is the biggest supporter of my addiction.
