Tulips for Oma Quilt..........took almost a year to complete.  I prepared the squares ahead and took them with me on my trips to Acme and Brooklyn to hand sew.  This turned out to be so large.  I struggled with the longarm quilting.  Some of the pieces were three pieces thick which caused the needle to break multiple times.  Also, I don't think I was tightening the needle enough.  I'm guessing actually.  I finally just stopped trying to quilt the thicker pieces.  I'm very happy with how the quilt turned out.  It was so fun doing English paper piecing for the sun petals.........and lots of applique!!!

Home Sweet Home quilt pattern by Blackbird Designs.  Started in May 2021. First quilt I finished in my new studio in Galloway, New Jersey.  I turned my whole living and dining room into my quilt studio.  Hand applique........I struggled getting the pieces to fit together and the quilt turned out better than I thought it would.  I do love house quilts!!

This quilt is called Splendid Scraps from the book Oh, Scrap!  Ellen picked out the fabrics from Connecting Threads and bought the fabric, pattern book and batting.  Took about 2 months to complete.  I like how there are 2 repeating patterns, the dark gray and the light blue.  Making Xs.  Ellen liked it!

Sew spooky quilt pattern by The Quilt Company.  Used steam a seam for smaller pieces.  Some embroidery and extra accessories were also used...
