Home Sweet Home quilt pattern by Blackbird Designs.  Started in May 2021. First quilt I finished in my new studio in Galloway, New Jersey.  I turned my whole living and dining room into my quilt studio.  Hand applique........I struggled getting the pieces to fit together and the quilt turned out better than I thought it would.  I do love house quilts!!

 This quilt is called Splendid Scraps from the book Oh, Scrap!  Ellen picked out the fabrics from Connecting Threads and bought the fabric, pattern book and batting.  Took about 2 months to complete.  I like how there are 2 repeating patterns, the dark gray and the light blue.  Making Xs.  Ellen liked it!

This pattern is called Sought-after Neighborhood by Tina Curran.  The houses were done with Paper Piecing.  I used a different method of Paper Piecing viewed on Youtube.  The new method didn't waste as much fabric as my old method.  I used double batting before my innova longarm quilting.  As usual............very fun to make.

Using my favorite fabrics again.  Did feathers in all the borders.  I'm definitely getting better at feathers.  Pattern is called Madison on Quilt Blocks Galore website.  

 

Wedding Quilt for Alicia and Cole.  To be married in the Fall of 2021.

Alicia is Kirk and Ginny's oldest granddaughter.......oldest daughter of niece Nancy.  Alicia wanted the colors of copper, emerald green and White.  The backing is the most beautiful emerald green batik fabric.  A leaf pattern.  

Pattern is called Dolly Madison's Star from Quilt Blocks Galore.  Lots of edge to edge quilting on my longarm.

 Scrappy Bear Paw

Very bright colors......but can't tell from this photo.  I usually use off white for background and thought it would be fun to use the dark blue for background.  I like it.  

This pattern is called Braided Dresden by Angela Walters.  I watched her youtube video and then I had to make this.  The dresdens were cool.  Four different patterns.  The colors on this photo aren't the greatest.....the fabrics were pretty together.  A mossy green with the blues and whites.  I did a ton of quilting.  I'm starting to get better at quilting on the longarm.  I have had the longarm almost 2 years!
